It's incredible to think that in this green little populated island were born so many admirable writers of fundamental importance for English language. Here I present a small selection of authors who, in my humble opinion, worth to be much better known for being better able to appreciate the culture of this splendid country; obviously this list is not complete, but if you find deep lacks or you simply want to suggest the reading of a book that is not in this list, feel free to send me an email or to write on the guestbook. Large part of the information, biographies and summaries of the works are collected from the Literature Encyclopaedia Garzanti, 1973 and from prefaces of the books to which reference is made.
