Cascais
:
A really small pleasant town, with beautiful beaches, rather crowded in summer; To see: the Mansion of the Condes de I castrate Guimarães, country-house with a beautiful park inside; The Boca do Inferno, impressive stacks eroded by the sea; the Praia do Guincho, beautiful dunes beach, much windy and so famous for the windsurf.

Lisboa:
The Portuguese Capital is a very fascinating place; The main places to see are: The quarter of the Alfama, the old city with narrow winding alleys, the stairs and the picturesque small squares. Splendid the view from the Miradouro di Santa Luzia; The High Bairro, quarter of artists with the small tram that climbs up by the steep narrow lanes; the Church of Nossa Senhora do Carmo, romantic ruins of a monastic church; the castle of São Jorge that dominates the city with the huge walls from which you have splendid panoramas on the city; the church of Madre de Deus, in whose cloister is the Museu Nacional de Azulejo; the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, splendid building with rich ornaments and wonderful cloister; the Tower of Belém, symbol of Lisboa and masterpiece of manuelin style of XVI century.

Queluz:
Beautiful XVIII century pleasant palace in rococo style with gardens and elegant halls.

Batalha:
The Mosteiro de Saint Maria from Vitória is one of the most important buildings in Portugal; in gotic style with splendid portals richly decorated; Inside the Capela do Fundador and the Claustro Real, one of beautifulst of Europe.

Alcobaça:
Beautiful Cistercian abbey: Inside remarkable sarcophagus of King Pedro and the lover Inês de Castro and the beautiful Claustro do Silêncio in gothic style.

Sintra:
Important place in the Portuguese history; Visit the Paço Real, beautifulst castle with his characteristic conical fireplaces, with magnificent furnishings in the inside; the Palácio do Pena, bizare castle of an unusual and heterogeneous architecture; the colourful small village of Azenhas do Mar, in the outskirts and the impressive Cabo da Roca, most western point of the European continent with beautiful red soil reefs.
